Hello there and happy Friday!
Today I’ve got the brand new Urban Decay Naked Honey Eyeshadow Palette for your enjoyment. Naked Honey is the latest in a long line of Naked palettes. It features twelve new shades in a gorgeous golden/bronze colored package. It also comes with a dual-ended eyeshadow brush.
So truth be told, when I first started seeing this on Instagram I was not impressed at all. The only color I thought looked interesting was the super gold metallic one (Honey) and everything else just looked like the same ‘ole stuff. But once I saw it in person I realized I was totally wrong. I mean yes, there are some shades which may not be completely unique, but many of them have a gorgeous mustard-leaning look to them, and I am ALL about mustard since last fall. I have mustard clothing and nail polish and am dying for these mustard Vans now. I cannot get enough mustard!
So as you can see, many of these shades have that lovely mustard-ish hint to them. If you love that as much as I do, then you might want this palette. If you cannot stand that, then this definitely isn’t for you.
As far as the formula, these all applied really nicely without tugging or patchiness. The one shade which was a little bit of a turd (aka not very smooth) is Sting, but it’s not terrible either. The metallic shimmers are beautiful, though there may be some fall-out.
Naked Honey comes out on 9/13 on their site, Sephora’s site and UD & Sephora stores. On 9/23 it will be on Ulta, Macy’s, Nordstrom and Belk’s sites. And on 9/26 it will be at Ulta, Macy’s, Nordstrom and Belk stores.
Now I want to know if this palette makes you swoon or not. Which are your favorite shades here?
