Hello and happy Thursday! Today I shall be reviewing the new butter LONDON Peel-Off Glitter Nail Lacquer Collection.
The butter LONDON Peel-Off Glitter Nail Lacquer Collection features six shades of glittery nail lacquer in mini-sized bottles. They do not require a base coat or top coat, but unless a polish is meant to be matte, I always wear a top coat when doing an actual manicure on myself.
I swatched all of these with no base coat or top coat and used two coats. I think they really could have used three thinner coats for better, more even coverage. So do they really work? Find out!
Aura is an opal/iridescent glitter.
Supernova is a silver holographic glitter/
Gold Rush is a cool-toned gold glitter.
Glitz is a light pink glitter.
Galaxy is a purple and blue glitter.
Black Magic is a black and silver glitter.
As I mentioned, I used two coats for all of these, but three might look better, except for Black Magic, which was very pigmented. Aura is not really ever going to completely be opaque because it is so light, but it’s pretty nonetheless.
I think all of these are nice shades, though they aren’t colors we’ve never seen before. As far as peeling off, they do work pretty well. As a rule I don’t discuss nail polish wear time on here because it can differ vastly between people depending on so many factors (oils in nails, how often you wash hands, etc.) and the same goes for these. They wear off more quickly on me, as does all nail polish, regardless of formula.
Having said that, they peeled off pretty nicely and easily, but not SO easily they would come off within hours. Prep is key here. You can probably extend the wear-time by ensuring your nails are free of all oils before you paint them. Then use thin, even coats and make sure not to get it on the cuticles or nail walls. Once you are ready to take them off you can just slide a nail edge or a little nail tool by the cuticle to lift up a small area, and they start to peel off in a sheet-like way. I was able to get them off mostly in just a few pieces. Sometimes a few glitter pieces would remain on the side of my nail, but again, they scrape off very easily and you don’t have the annoying glittery mess all over your fingers, like with normal glitter removal. They didn’t make my nails feel or look stripped or dry afterwards either.
You can find the butter LONDON Peel-Off Glitter Nail Lacquer Collection at Ulta and on their site now and they are $12.00 each.
What do you think, would you try peel-off glitter lacquer?
