Oh hey there! On this fine Thursday I’ve got a new Nail Polish Dupe Series Featuring Sally Hansen Pacific Blue and Londontown Iconic.
A reader recently asked me about the similarities of these two and I knew more people would probably want to know also! As you may or may not know, Sally Hansen Pacific Blue is a legendary HG shade that Sally Hansen changed the color of, for some INSANE reason, a few years back. The new one is just not as good as the old one, so I have a couple bottles of the old one stashed away.
At first I thought maybe these would be really close but turns out, not so much.
Pacific Blue (old version) is the quintessential intense, light, cobalt blue creme.
Iconic is an intense medium cobalt blue creme.
Here is Iconic on the pointer and ring nails then Pacific Blue on middle and pinky nails. As you can probably tell they are definitely different cobalt blue shades. Iconic is a deeper blue and more of the “classic” cobalt color that many other cobalt nail polishes look like. Pacific Blue is lighter and slightly brighter. Both were just two coats.
Here is Pacific Blue on my middle nail and Iconic on my pointer nail. And here in the side by side photos you can really see the difference. Both are totally gorgeous, but Pacific Blue is still the more unique one.
Which shade of cobalt do you prefer?
