Happy Tuesday folks! Hope your week is good thus far.
I recently decided to pick up some Lanolips 101 Ointment & Hand Cream because I had never tried them and had heard great things over the years. I chose their crazy popular Lanolips 101 Ointment Multipurpose Superbalm, Everyday Rose Hand Cream, and their Intense Hand Creams in Lemon and Coconutter.
I definitely have to say the cute packaging gave me more incentive to buy these. It’s simple, retro looking and I love it. I do actually kind of prefer a flip-top for hand lotion, but that’s just a small issue. These products, which are made in Australia, are cruelty-free, have no artificial fragrances, parabens, sulfates, petroleum, PEG’s or mineral oil.
Ok first off let’s discuss the 101 Ointment ($16.95 .52 oz), which is named that because it literally has 101 different uses! My main use was to be for my always chapped lips (though I have to say my lip injections have helped a ton with that, they are rarely chapped now!) You can use this on cuticles, chapped skin, cuts, insect bites, etc. It’s extremely dense (holds 200% of its moisture) and hydrating, and it goes a LONG way. Just get a small dab out, warm it up between the fingers and apply. It contains ultra medical grade lanolin which is cruelty-free and vegetarian. I LOVE this stuff for my lips. It feels very nice on, no scent/taste, it’s incredibly hydrating and adds a nice shine. The ONLY thing I would change about it is to add SPF and then it would be the perfect lip balm for me. Since Jack Black Lip Balm has been my HG since 2011, I know you want to know what I think about this compared to it. I actually like this a little bit more in some ways, but not as much in others. This seems a little more hydrating and like it penetrates my skin better. But the Jack Black has SPF and some nice scents so…I love both!
The Everyday Rose Hand Cream ($19.95 for 4.0 oz) is a light-weight hand cream for dry hands and nails. It has an easy-to-rub-in formula and a nice rose scent created by rose oil. It’s a great cream for day use for me because it leaves no greasy residue and it penetrates skin quickly.
The Intense Hand Creams ($14.95 for 1.69 oz) are just that – intense. A little goes a long way with these also, and you basically want to get some out, warm it up in your hands and then spread it around. It has a thicker texture than the other hand cream, you can tell right off the bat it’s more intense. It leaves a “silky protective veil” on the skin, which isn’t greasy or oily, but I prefer this one at night before bed. The lemon one has a lovely light lemon scent and the coconut one smells great also. These are both really good for dry feet too!
Have you tried anything from this brand yet? Interested in any of these?
