Hi there Internet friends, I hope your Tuesday is swell!
Today I have the ORLY Neon Earth Summer 2018 Collection, which is a collection of six new shades in a variety of finishes. And stay tuned till the end of the post because there is a special deal if you use my coupon code!
Formula-wise this collection wasn’t perfect, but nothing too bad. The neon shades tended to be a bit thin for me (without a ridge-filling base coat on), so I used three thin coats for them. Everything else was two coats. And I did not wear white polish underneath the neons either.
After Glow is a peachy/coral neon. This is three coats.
Sand Of Time is an apricot creme. This is three thin coats.
Desert Rose is a medium rose/mauve creme. This is two coats.
Blazing Sunset is an intense neon pinky/orange. This is three coats.
Moon Dust is a frosty metallic sandy/tan. This is two (very brush-stroke-y) coats.
Valley Of Fire is a super-saturated copper foil with orange/pink/gold shimmer. This is two coats.Pretty nice shades, yes? I kind of thought this would be a not-that-interesting collection when I saw the bottles at first, but on the nail most of these really pop. I absolutely love After Glow, Blazing Sunset and Sands Of Time. Surprisingly, I also thought Desert Rose looked really good on my nails and I am not a huge rose pink nail polish fan usually. Moon Dust was a fail for me. The frosty finish looks too dated, and the formula was very prone to brush strokes. Valley Of Fire is beautiful as well!
