We are upon another weekend folks, yay! Do you have any fun plans?
On this sunny Friday morn’ I have the new Morgan Taylor Make A Splash Summer 2018 Collection for you. Morgan Taylor and Gelish are partnering with the Surfrider Foundation for a local beach clean-up of Huntington Beach on June 16th, which is also International Surfing Day. You can find out more about this volunteer network on their site.
This collection includes six bright summery shades and a fun, sparkly topper shade. Two coats gets the job done for all of these shades (the topper really only needs one) and I had no problems with any of them.
Limonade In The Shade is a neon green creme.
You’ve Got Tan-gerine Lines is an orange neon creme.
Flip Flops & Tube Tops is a bright flamingo pink with shimmer. It dries a little on the matte side.
Here it is with a top coat and it’s just so pretty! I love this shade of pink.
Flamingo Float is a bright coral with pink shimmer. It also dries a little matte.
And with a top coat the shimmer comes through even more.
Once Piece Or Two? is a grape purple creme. This has kind of a matte/waxy looking finish to it.
Cellophane Coat (over One Piece or Two?) is an iridescent pink and purple shimmer.
Feeling Swim-sical is a bright blue teal creme. I could not get this color captured correctly no matter what I did. It’s way brighter and prettier in person than this photo depicts. And there you have it! As far as neons go, both Limonade In The Shade and You’ve Got Tan-getines Lines are really nice and they are VERY bright. They tend to be on the thick side, but not hard to work with. I really like Flip Flops & Tube Tops and Flamingo Float once the top coat is added. One Piece Or Two is a great intense purple and I also like Feeling Swim-sical. Cellophane Coat looks great over all sorts of shades, but it seems kind of weird for a bright summer collection. I don’t know why but it makes me think of spring not summer. Either way it’s pretty.
The Morgan Taylor Make A Splash Summer 2018 Collection comes out this month on their site and select salons and they are $12.99 each.
Do you see any colors here you feel like you must own?
