Hi there and a happy Monday to ya! Today I have the newly released Urban Decay Heavy Metal Makeup Collection Holiday 2017 pieces for you, most which are limited edition, so get ’em whilst you can!
Urban Decay Heavy Metal Makeup Collection Holiday 2017 features a new Heavy Metals Eyeshadow Palette, a Metal Meets Matte Vice Lipstick Palette and Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner in 11 shades. As the name implies, a lot of the items here are metallic and/or glittery.
Heavy Metals Metallic Eyeshadow Palette (limited edition) features twenty new and exclusive metallic eyeshadows. It comes in an interesting and new palette which has the eyeshadows on either side of a large mirror. It slides out of a purple metallic case. These all have a very pigmented metallic foiled effect.
Vice Metal Meets Matte Lipstick Palettes (limited edition) includes 12 shades with 6 being new ones. Six of the shades are metallic and six are mattes. Inside the palette is a nice-sized mirror and a mini lipstick brush.
Heavy Metal Glitter Eyeliner now comes in 13 total shades, and 6 of these are new. This glitter is suspended in a gel, so you won’t have to deal with fallout, which I love! It’s water-based and build-able.
The eyeshadow palette was really nice! The colors are all super pigmented and definitely metallic looking. A few felt a little more “gritty” than others (Twisted, Demo, Maiden, Scream) but they are still pigmented and easy to blend out. Some almost feel like moist cremes.
The lipstick palette is cute but not something I am personally drawn to. For some reason I prefer my lipsticks in a tube. Having said that I really love the matte shades the best, especially Tame, Backtalk, Double Team and Shallow. The metallic ones are decent, most had nice pigmentation, but I am not really a fan of metallic lipstick.
If you are into glittery lids the metallic liners might be something you want to check out. I really like that they are suspended in gel and they don’t separate out (you don’t have to shake them up or anything.) As you know I am not huge on glitter anything, but swiping a line of this over regular liner is kind of fun! I especially like Pyro, Distortion, Spandex and Punk Rock. If you want to see some of these over black liner check out my post from a few years back about them.

Is there anything here you are definitely going to be picking up?
