Hello and a happy Monday to you. I hope you had an excellent weekend!
Today I have a new collection that doesn’t necessarily look completely like a fall collection and it’s called the essie Fall 2017 Collection. It features six new shades, and was inspired by and named after the spirit of the 1990’s.
The formula was really very good with this whole collection. Everything was just two coats over a ridge-filling base coat. The only one which you need to be a little careful with is Girly Grunge because it’s a very heavy metallic and can be slightly brush-stroke-y.
Mixtaupe is a light almond/taupe colored creme.
Saved By The Belle is a light pink bubblegum creme.
Girly Grunge is a silvery lavender metallic.
As If! is a muted periwinkle creme.
Knee-High Life is a deep wine red creme.
Dressed to The Nineties is a deep super-pigmented purple with green and blue shimmer. This could be just one coat.
If you think of this as a regular “fall collection” it doesn’t really look like one, however I do think they captured the 90’s fairly well! For me the stand-out, must-have shade is Dressed to The Nineties. It is stunning, especially in the sunlight where the shimmer really comes alive. I also really like As If! and Girly Grunge. The other three are less unique.
You can find the essie Fall 2017 Collection where ever essie is sold now and they are $9.00 each.
What do you think, anything here you like enough to get?
