Today I have the LORAC Unzipped Ocean Sunset Eye Shadow Palette, which is the final of their 3 new Unzipped palettes. You can check out Mountain Sunset here and Desert Sunset swatches here, if you are so inclined.
Ocean Sunset is inspired by the sunsets and many majestic ocean views in L.A. It features 10 shades in various finishes and come with a mini Behind the Scenes Eye Primer. There are some warm, cool and neutral shades in this one – a good mix!
Mother Of Pearl is a light shimmery champagne.
Salt Water is a pale sea foam green with yellow flash.
Ocean Floor is a medium metallic bronze.
Horizon is a light peach/orange matte.
Sea Urchin is a deep amethyst purple shimmer.
Bedrock is a medium warm toned brown matte.
Sundown is a light mauve matte.
Sandbar is a medium gold metallic.
High Tide is a deep mauve matte.
Stingray is a deep slate blue matte.
I was really excited about this palette because of the green shade and mauve/purple shades, and I wasn’t disappointed. The first two shades are fairly light and not that pigmented, but Sea Foam has this gorgeous yellow shift to it that makes me love it anyway. Everything else was nicely pigmented and the mattes are soft and easily blend-able. I also really love the slate blue matte color Stingray – so pretty.
You can find the LORAC Unzipped Ocean Sunset Eye Shadow Palette at Ulta now and it’s $42.00. Looks like it’s out of stock at the moment but should be back soon!
