The Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Collection came out awhile back and it’s still available so I’ve got some swatches and info for you today. Also included in this post (but not really part of this collection) is their brand new Lid Lock Clay Eye Base.
As you would imagine from the name of the collection, everything here is light, bright, shimmery and mermaid-esque looking. There are eyeshadow palettes, brushes, foundations, lip balms, radiance drops, shimmer sticks, lipsticks, lip palettes, brushes and more in the collection!
Skylight is a light shimmery pearl with gold.
Spotlight is a light champagne with gold.
Radiance Drops has a pearly golden shimmer.
Coral is a sheer coral orange.
Buff is a sheer brown/orange.
Cherry is a sheer raspberry.
I didn’t show swatches of the Lid Lock Clay Eye Base because there isn’t much to see, however I did wear it the other day and wasn’t impressed. It creased on me within 3 hours and fairly badly at that. So if you have oily lids like me, and Too Faced Shadow Insurance, Milani Eyeshadow Primer or Urban Decay Potion Primer works best for you, I would stick with those. This might work for those with barely any oils in their skin.
I really love the Twinkle Sticks because they are super convenient to use, and very pretty, light shades. I am not into highlighters that are super intense all over my face, so these are a good choice for me. If you want an all-over radiance to your skin, mixing a drop or two of the Radiance Drops might work for you. It’s also subtle, but noticeable. Personally I am not a fan of sheer lip colors, but the Quench Lip Rescue balms do feel good on, have a nice shine, and do have some color to them. They aren’t sticky at all and have a light minty smell/taste to them.
Sea anything you want to pick up? Get it? 😉
