Hello and a happy Wednesday to you!
Today I have a pretty little thing, which is currently on sale, called Tarte Rainbow Highlighter Spellbound Glow. They call this an “iridescent rainbow highlighter” which is kind of not exactly true, but it’s pretty nonetheless.
It features four shimmery shades which you can either use by themselves or blend them all together. It’s made with “pure pigments” and “long-wearing Amazonian clay” which supposedly makes it last and makes the powder smoother and non-chalky.
Here is a swatch (over primer) to show you each individual shade. Really only one of them stands out as being very different, and that is the golden one, which is the second swatch. The others are different from each other, but it’s a fairly subtle difference.
And here they are all blended together (over primer) and what you get is basically an icy white/slightly pink glow.
Ok so I wouldn’t really call this “iridescent” but I get what they were going for when they said that. All part of the unicorn trend, right? I like this highlighter because it works for my fair skin pretty nicely. Having said that I don’t think it’s practical to try and use some of these colors by themselves because the little strip of color is kind of hard to get to without touching the other colors. So basically, I would be using this as one icy shade, and it doesn’t seem all that unique when I see it blended together. But it IS pretty to look at!
You can find this on sale now at Sephora and it’s $24.00 (originally $30.00.)
Is this a yea or nay for you?
