Women do not expire. But what does that mean, exactly?
In seemingly most parts of the world, women have this invisible expiration date surrounding them once they hit a certain age. In Los Angeles, CA often women over age 35 are seen as “washed-up.” In Silicon Valley and the tech world if you aren’t under 30 you are way too old. In Shanghai, China if you aren’t married by age 27 you are seen as “Sheng Nu” which means “leftover woman.”
But women are standing up to this and challenging this thought process. In Shanghai’s People’s park, which is a marriage market (yes they still exist), hundreds of women came out and said that only THEY will control their future and determine how to live.
