The LORAC California Dreaming Collection was inspired by late winter, when it might be sunny outside in Los Angeles, but there is still a slight chill in the air. Yes it does get cold-ish in California! The shades reflect a more winter-y feel, not spring-like pastels or pale colors, but more earthy and warm. Included in the collection is a really cute Cheek Palette, and Eye Shadow Palette, two Light Source 3-in-1 Illuminating Primers, 10 shades of their PRO Liquid Lipsticks and six shades of their Alter Ego Satin Lipsticks.
Sunlight is a shimmery/metallic golden tan.
Wavelength is a lightly shimmery pale pink.
Ray is a medium brown/pink matte.
Golden Hour is a shimmery warm peach/tan.
Soft Pink is a medium dusty pink.
Light Peach is a medium peachy/orange.
Soft Mauve is a medium mauve.
Plum Brown is a dark purple/brown.
Dawn is a pale iridescent white/pink.
Dusk is a medium shimmery golden tan.
And there you are! I think the Cheek Palette is pretty nice if you don’t already have shades like these ones. Very nice texture to everything and really good, even pigmentation. I really like the PRO Liquid Lipsticks also. They do dry to a matte finish, but these ones aren’t so matte that you feel like every ounce of moisture has been sucked out of your face. They are really pigmented and only one swipe deposits a lot of color. The Light Source Illuminating Primer are really good as well, I especially love Dawn. You can use them alone or mix them with a BB cream or foundation or apply them right onto your face after makeup to add some highlight. I am all about the iridescence!
