Hello and a happy almost Friday to you! The sun finally came out today after another week of mostly rain and clouds. What are we, Seattle? UGH!
Anyway, today I have the limited edition Morgan Taylor The Beauty And The Beast 2017 Collection. This collection was obviously inspired by the upcoming Walt Disney release of the live-action film coming next month, which I am kind of excited about, even though I am not a huge Disney movie fan. The colors here are also mostly very spring-like, so it’s perfect for this time of year.
As far as formula, many of the colors were on the thicker side, but I didn’t have any problems with them. Most swatched in just two coats over a ridge-filling base coat.
Plumette With Excitement is a pale pink creme. This is two coats.
Days In The Sun is a yellow with pink shimmer. This is two coats.
Gaston and On and On is a pale blue creme. This is two coats.
Potts Of Tea is a white with hidden pink shimmer. This is two coats.
Be Our Guest is a medium pink creme. This is two coats.
Enchanted Patina is a duochrome shimmer going from a coppery gold to pink. This is supposedly an “overlay” shade but you can also build it up with three thin coats to be opaque.
The Last Petal is a deep velvety red with red shimmer. This is two coats.
There are some shades here that maybe we’ve seen many times before such as Plumette with Excitement, Gaston and On and On and Be Our Guest, but there are others that are fairly unique. The most unique and my favorite shade is Days In The Sun. It’s is a really nice yellow and the pink shimmer is totally what makes it. Also, only two coats for a yellow is amazing! The Last Petal may not be completely unique, but I do love me a lit-from-within shimmer like that. I really like Enchanted Patina by itself as well. Potts Of Tea is pretty also, but the shimmer is pretty hidden in most lighting so it mostly just looks white.
You can find the Morgan Taylor The Beauty And The Beast 2017 Collection on their site now for a limited time and they are $9.00 each.
