Melt Cosmetics has been around for awhile now, but it was only during their Cyber Monday sale when I finally decided to get a few to see what they were all about.
Melt Cosmetics Lipsticks come in a few different formulas. Matte, Ultra Matte and Iridescent. Space Cake, which is an older color I have had my eye on forever, is an Ultra Matte. These other two come from their brand new Prime Rose Collection, which features five rose-colored hues in a Matte formula. I definitely, notice a difference between Ultra Matte and Matte. Ultra Matte is VERY matte, so warming it up a bit before putting it on helps it go on more evenly. Thanks for that tip Mayra! The Mattes feel a little more smooth and creamy, so I didn’t have to resort to that trick to get them to apply smoothly.

Space Cake is a very cool-toned grey.
Old Rose is a medium tawny rose.
Stepford is a cool-toned rosey taupe.

Space Cake is every bit as cool looking as I hoped it would be! It’s a very unique color, though it’s definitely on the very matte side. I will probably wear a lip balm underneath it for more comfort. The other two are nice shades and felt better on the lips. I don’t really love Old Rose on me that much, but I like Stepford a lot. It’s a great dusty, cool shade.
You can find Melt Cosmetics Lipstick on their site here and these are $19.00 each or $65.00 for the 5-piece Prime Rose Collection.
Have you tried Melt Cosmetics yet? See anything here that’s tempting you?

Oooo that gray is awesome! I would never wear it but i love it. I actually would wear the rose one!
I have tried Melt and I adore their products. Definitely give their eyeshadows a try. I have all of them and they are fantastic!
Space Cake and Stepford are fabulous colors! All three of them look so nice lined up together, too.
