Hello and happy Monday. Hope you had a great weekend!
Deborah Lippmann Her Majesty Holiday 2016 is a 9-piece collection of all NEW colors! Yep all nine of the shades here are new colors, so that’s exciting to me. They are mini bottles, but there is a good array of shades from light to dark and cremes to shimmers. It also comes with her Hard Rock strengthening base/top coat. And it is a limited edition set.
Emperor’s New Clothes is a light warm-toned tan creme. This is two coats.
Ever After is a rose/mauve creme. This is two coats.
King Of The Road is a cool-toned medium grey creme. This is two coats.
Reign Of Love is a bright red creme. This is two coats.
Blue Blood is a deep royal blue creme. This is two coats.
If I Ruled The World is a deep forest green shimmer. This is two coats.
Crown Velvet is a deep royal purple creme. This is two coats.
Queen Of The Night is a blackened purple shimmer. This is three thin coats.
Nearly all of these were just two coats, which is good. One thing I did notice and I think I have noticed this before with the Lippmann mini bottles is that they somehow feel “dry”ish. They aren’t as creamy and luscious of a formula as the normal-sized bottle. Maybe it’s that the brush isn’t quite as good? It doesn’t make them bad, just different and not quite as nice as the regular ones. I didn’t have any application issues with any of them though. I think the most unique and/or interesting ones in this set are Blue Blood, If I Ruled The World, Crown Velvet and Queen Of The Night. I also really like Ever After, which is rare for me because I don’t normally like mauve much. King Of The Road is a gorgeous grey – not that unique though.
