Urban Decay XX Vintage Nail Polish is in celebration of the brand’s 20th anniversary, and you need to get ’em while they’re available (aka NOW) because once they are gone, they are gone!
These nail polish shades were some of my favorites way back in the mid 90’s when they came out, and I was so excited to see them back, I bought them all! All but one (Asphyxia) which is sold out. There are 12 shades (all were in the original 12 line-up) in their new bottle design with the awesome skull on the cap. The formula is great with these. Some were three thin coats, but most covered in two.
Pallor is a pale muted grey with lavender/pink shift and silvery sparkles. This was three coats.
Bruise has a red/purple base and shifts to a green iridescent. This was three coats.
Mildew is a medium mossy green with yellow and green shimmer. This was two coats.
UV-B is a bright blue with violet shift. This was three coats.
Radium is a bright metallic blue. This was two coats.
Uzi is a gunmetal with silvery shimmer. This was two coats.
Plague is a dark yet vivid purple with red micro-glitter. This was two coats.
Roach is a warm-toned reddish/brown with a red/gold color shift. This was two coats.
Smog is a deep coppery/bronze with red/gold micro-shimmer. This was two coats.
Frostbite is a dark navy blue with light blue shimmer. This was two coats.
Oil Slick is a metallic black with multicolored micro-glitter. This was two coats.
Oh man do I not regret getting any of these! I do have some favorites though and they are Bruise, Mildew, Roach, Smog and Plague. Bruise and Smog in particular make my heart pound because they are very opaque shades – you almost only need 1 coat, and they are just *so” fall-esque! A few of the more metallic ones do have some slight brush-stroke-y issues, so work with thin, even coats. I wish Asphyxia would come back so I could get that one and have the whole collection!
You can find these only on the Urban Decay site now and they are $10.00 each.
Which ones are you getting? 😀
