Hello and happy Wednesday!
The Dermelect Unearthed Fall 2016 Collection is now available so I thought I would share it with you lovely folks today.
Unearthed features six new shades that evoke the many hues found in nature. It also helps support the non-profit Trees for the Future (trees.org) which has committed to plant one new tree for every nail polish sold from this collection through April 2017, with a minimum of 10,000 trees planted. Trees for the Future helps improve the livelihoods of impoverished farmers by revitalizing degraded lands. They have planted 128 million trees all over the world already to help people get out of poverty and address the environment.
And of course as with all their nail polishes, these include keratin protein peptide, which helps strengthen nails and restore flexibility. Their polish also helps nails from chipping and splitting, is water and detergent resistant, protects against UV rays and is 5-free and cruelty free.
What a Gem is a pale pink with lots of shimmery yellow and gold. This was three thin coats.
Nobody’s Fool is an intense metallic marigold. This was two coats.
To The Core is a russet coppery/orange shimmer. This was two coats.
Magmatized is a bright fire red creme. This was two coats.
Verdure is a deep hunter green creme. This was two coats.
Diggin’ You is a deep cool-toned chocolate creme. This was two coats.
Overall I found this to be a pretty nice set of colors. There were some that were a little more unique such as What a Gem, Nobody’s Fool and To The Core, but I also really love Verdure and Diggin’ You. All but one of these covered in just two coats, and the one that took three was definitely worth it because it’s so shimmery and pretty.
You can find these shades on their site now for $14.00 each.
See anything here worth forking your dough over to plant a tree? 🙂
