MAC It’s A Strike is the latest collection from the brand and I have some swatches for ya now!
It’s A Strike is a bowling themed collection, which I kinda dig, even though it seems a bit random. It features Lipsticks, Cremesheen Glasses, Eye Shadows, Fluidline Pens, a super cute Pearlmatte Face Powder (they didn’t send it to me, sadly), Casual Colors and Nail Lacquers.
Isn’t this just so cute?
Honeylove is a light beige toned rose (matte)
Babes and Balls is a medium/deep burgundy (matte)
Perfect Score is a medium/deep red (matte)
Bowlarama is a bright lime green (satin)
Bowl Out is a medium grey/taupe (matte)
Join My League? is a deep espresso brown (matte)
300 Game is a blackened cherry (matte)
It’s A Strike is a light pink.
Throw A Spare is a fuchsia with sparkles.
Right Up My Alley is a bright red.
Perfect Frame is a dark purple.
King Pin is a deep chocolate.
Rack ‘Em Up is a cool-toned medium taupe creme.
Baby Split is a lime green creme.
I found the lipsticks to be nice and pigmented, as MAC lipsticks usually are. Honeylove is a great pale shade and Perfect Score is a nice bright red. The eye shadows were a bit hit or miss for me. All were swatched over a primer and only Bowlarama and Bowl Out were smooth and not patchy, and I love both colors. Join My League took a few tries to get it smooth, but it’s a great shade. 300 Game was just a nightmare of patchiness. The glosses are nice, I especially like colors It’s A Strike and Right Up My Alley. Perfect Frame and King Pin are slightly uneven and you have to work harder to get them even on the lips. I really like both the nail colors here. Baby Split did take three thin coats to get it completely even and Rack ‘Em Up only needed two coats.
This collection is available now on the MAC site and elsewhere.
