In case you have been living in a cave, essie Gel Couture is a new line of essie polishes that yes, are gels, and in a twisty new bottle!
This new line of polish comes in 42 shades and you can also get their new gel top coat which cures without needing a UV lamp. They claim to last up to 14 days and stay super shiny and squishy looking. Now I didn’t try them out for wear because as you know, nothing lasts on me more than 1-3 days max, and I don’t have the top coat, but I did review some shades and they are gorgeous!
Take A Walk is a pale lime creme. This was the only one here where I needed three thin coats to get it covered nicely, but it’s worth it! I love this yellow/green shade.
Labels Only is a lavender with pink shimmer. All I can say is WHOA this is stunning! The shimmer is definitely there and it was two coats of creamy perfection to apply.
First View is a baby blue with light blue shimmer. In the bottle you don’t really see the shimmer, so I was pleasantly surprised when it came out on my nails! Pretty shade and two coats.
Find Me A Man-nequin is an intense ultramarine blue creme. This one came out a little more vivid than it appeared in the bottle, which was a good thing for me. This was two fabulous creamy coats.
Well I have to say I am impressed with the formula, bottle shape and colors of these. As mentioned I don’t know about wear time since that varies so much from person to person, plus I didn’t try out their matching top coat. But as nail polish colors go, gel or not, I loved all four of these, but especially Labels Only and Take A Walk.
The other thing I loved about this line is the brushes have a wider and rounded edge, which is perfect for me because it makes for almost NO clean-up around my cuticles. I wish ALL companies would use these kinds of brushes.
You can find these wherever essie is sold and they are $11.50 each.
Have you tried this line yet? Anything here excite you?
