The Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow Palette is the latest palette from the brand and as the name implies, it’s sparkly!
Moondust eyeshadows contain micro bits of iridescent sparkles, which makes them super glittery and shimmery. This palette contains eight brand new Moondust shades. The palette itself is really nice, with a charcoal grey and silver sparkles design. It opens up to a large mirror and the eight shadows.
Specter is a light pink with pink sparkles.
Element is a medium peach with pink shift and sparkles.
Magnetic is a medium purple with blue sparkles.
Lightyear is a bright green with green sparkles.
Granite is a gunmetal grey with multicolored sparkles.
Lithium is a deep brown with iridescent 3-D sparkles.
Vega is a bright blue with blue sparkles.
Galaxy is a smoked out blue/grey with iridescent 3-D sparkles.
I swatched all of these without a primer and with just one swipe. As you can see, they are nicely pigmented and to say they are shimmery is an understatement! They are SUPER glittery which also means that yes, they are prone to lots of fallout. You can use them wet or dry, and probably using them wet helps with some of the fallout issue and bumps up the intensity.
I think this is a really pretty palette and the colors are gorgeous. Personally I do not ever wear eyeshadow this glittery (or really glittery at all), but if you are a glitter lover, this might be right up your alley!
Are you a fan of this kind of glitter shadow or do you prefer a different finish?
