MAC Good Luck Trolls has to be one of the more fun collections they have recently come out with and I have some swatches for ya!
I was never really into Troll dolls because I think it was way after my time, but I definitely know what they are, and I love this super fun and colorful packaging. Included in the collection are Chroma Graze Hair Color Spray, Lipsticks, Lip Glasses, Pigments, Reflect Glitters, Beauty Powders and Eye Shadows. The little Trolls logo and design are not stickers, which is a good thing.
Play It Proper Beauty is a light pastel pink with subtle sparkles.
Silly Vanilly is a white with very fine silver glitter (satin).
Paradisco is a pink/coral with pearl (frost).
Suns Out Bums Out is a mustard yellow with pearl (veluxe pearl).
Can’t Be Tamed is a sheer lime/yellow (cremesheen).
Sushi Kiss is a medium coral creme (satin).
Midnight Troll is a deep blue/purple (matte).
Twerquoise is a sheer sky blue with pink reflect.
Bubble Butt is a magenta pink with pink and blue glitter.
Before you ask where my swatches of the Chroma Craze Hair Spray is, sorry I didn’t try it on my hair. I spend way too much money on my hair to try it on the off-chance it doesn’t come out! The eye shadows I tried are surprisingly tame, they almost don’t seem like they belong in this collection because they are mellow shades and very wearable. They had a nice texture, not chalky or hard to blend, and they are decently pigmented as well. The Beauty Powder is gorgeous and smooth, and one of my favorite things here. The Lipsticks were a bit weird for me. Can’t Be Tamed is extremely patchy and sheer and just not very flattering. Sushi Kiss was a better color and formula, and probably the most wearable one. Midnight Troll leans more purple than blue to my eye and it’s nice, but does take a bit of work to get it completely even on the lips. I am loving Twerquoise! It’s totally not weird looking on the lips and Bubble Butt also is super pretty and nicely pigmented.
You can find this collection on the MAC site on/around August 4th.
