Too Faced The Power Of Makeup by NikkieTutorials is coming out soon and I’ve got all the info you need right here!
In case you pay zero attention to YouTube or social media, NikkieTutorials is a makeup artist on YouTube who kind of created a movement awhile back called “The Power Of Makeup”. She’s created some amazing looks and seemed to be a great fit to work with Too Faced on a special palette.
This whole collection consists of an eyeshadow/blush/bronzer/highlighter palette, a mini Shadow Insurance Primer, a mini Better Than Sex Mascara (in purple!), a mini pot of Glimmer Dust and a full-sized Black Liquid Art Eyeliner. It also, of course, comes with a booklet showing 3 looks Nikkie created using these products.
Ivy is a light white matte.
Sugar Coated is a pale pink metallic with shimmer.
Frosted Yum is a silver metallic with shimmer.
Irresistible is a cool-toned metallic gold with shimmer.
Painkiller is a light taupe matte.
Makeup & Chill is a deep, warm-toned brown matte.
Mystic Hour is a deep metallic blue.
Wham Bam is an intense violet.
Wanted is a jet black matte.
I Will Always Love You is a medium peach.
Justify My Love is a bright pink.
Chocolate Soleil is a medium brown matte.
Champagne Truffle is a light, shimmery pink/gold.
Black Liquid Art Eyeliner is a jet black.
Better Than Sex Mascara is a bright purple.
Glimmer Dust in Glitterally features small iridescent glitter.
For me this palette was not all that exciting because I feel like I have seen most, if not all these shades before in various Too Faced palettes. The matte shades were a bit on the chalky side and I had to swipe quite a few times to get them as even as they look here. The metallic/shimmery shades felt much softer and a lot more pigmented. The blushes/bronzer/highlighter are all nice, nothing we haven’t seen before though. I do love the purple Better Than Sex mascara, it’s great and I hope they make a full-sized version some day. If you are into glitter, Glitterally is a really pretty, if not totally messy, glitter. I have my review of the Liquid Art Eyeliners here if you are wondering what I think of them.
This releases August 15th at Sephora, Ulta, and the Too Faced website, and it is $56.00.
