Urban Decay One & Done Hybrid Complexion Perfector is new for their Summer 2016 Collection and I’ve been testing it out for ya!
Ok so what exactly is a “Hybrid Complexion Perfector”? Well it’s like a mix of a creme, a foundation and a BB creme. Plus it has SPF 20. It has an oil-free formula, contains vitamins, peptides and moisturizers, light-diffusing spheres and it’s very lightweight. It evens out skintone, blurs pores and imperfections and comes in six shades – Light, Medium Light, Medium, Medium Dark, Dark, and Deep.
It comes in a pretty champagne and gunmetal ombre designed tube with an airless pump mechanism. It’s 1.3 oz, so it’s a good-sized tube for your money.
Light – works well for shades 0.5-3.5
Medium Light – works well for shades 3.0-4.5
Medium – works well for shades 4.0-7.0
Sorry I did Deep and Dark backwards here!
Medium Dark – works well for shades 6.0-8.0
Deep – works well for shades 10.0-12.0
Dark – works well for shades 8.0-10.0
Usually I am the second shade in any foundation/color line, but this time Light worked for me perfectly. It’s a pretty neutral shade, not too pink or yellow, which works best with my skin tone. I love the lightweight texture this stuff has and it completely melts into skin very easily. I just patted it on with my fingers all over and it immediately blurred out my annoying pores and red places on my skin. I applied it over an SPF/moisturizer that I already had on because as you know, the SPF in makeup IS NOT enough to wear by itself. It’s just an added extra layer of protection. I like that it gives me a slightly dewy finish, but that could also be because of what I applied it over. It’s definitely not oily looking and not matte. Since lightweight formulas and BB cremes are more my jam than full-coverage foundations, I felt like this gave me enough coverage, but those looking for a medium to full coverage may feel too “naked” in this. Get it? 🙂
I like it more than the Naked Foundation at the moment simply because it’s lighter and somehow seems easier to apply because it’s in a tube. That makes NO sense at all, but whatever. I also like it more than the Naked Skin Beauty Balm because I feel like this shade matches my skin better and somehow the formula feels more luxurious and creamier with this one.
You can find this on the Urban Decay site now and online soon, and it’s $34.00.
