OPI SoftShades 2016 welcomes you to spring in a really pretty, pastel way!
This new collection features six new pale and soft pastel cremes. These aren’t sheer and they aren’t at all chalky looking. They are soft-looking, kind of almost mod-ish, and they look VERY spring appropriate. They also mix and match really well together – perfect for nail art!
I applied these over a ridge-filling base coat because oftentimes these kinds of shades are a bit streaky. Almost all of these are two coats over the base coat. Some *maybe* could have used a third thin coat, but in person they really are fairly even looking.
It’s in the Clouds is a pale off-white. This was really the only one which needed three coats to get it as even as possible.
This Cost Me a Mint is a pale mint green.
One Chic Chick is a pale light yellow. Can you believe this was even with just two coats? Yellows are rarely just two coats for me!
I Am What I Amethyst is a light lilac.
It’s a Boy! is a light baby blue.
Stop I’m Blushing! is a warm-toned light peach.
When I first saw the press release for this collection I kind of was already in love. These soft colors are totally “me” and I love all of them. If I had to pick the best shades here though I would say they are One Chic Chick (love this particular yellow shade and the fact that it was just two coats), This Cost Me a Mint and I am What I Amethyst. I want to wear them all at once!
You can find these in salons and at Ulta, Regis, etc. now (or soon) for $10.00 each.
