Maybelline Lash Sensational Luscious Full Fan Effect Mascara comes in a regular and waterproof version and I recently tested out the regular one in Blackest Black.
The non-waterproof formula comes in three shades including Blackest Black, Very Black and Brownish Black. It has what they call a “Fanning Reservoir Brush” which coats lashes in their oil-infused formula. The narrow tip of the brush reaches even super small lashes.
So yep, Blackest Black is a super dark black, which is what I always prefer unless I am purposely wearing a colored one. Brown mascara? Yuck. I never, ever understood why anyone would wear that! But that’s a whole other story.
I feel like this brush did a fairly good job of coating my lashes and separating them. It’s a wee bit on the clumpy side for me, but certainly not the worst I have used. It didn’t flake off on me throughout the day and it removed easily when it was time to take it off. But even with all that it’s just kind of ok. I wasn’t blown away by my super fanned out or long lashes, it just seems like a typical run-of-the-mill mascara. Not great, not bad. I wouldn’t buy it again but I’ll use this tube up most likely.
You can find this in drugstores now and it’s around $8.99.
Have you tried this one yet?
