Have you heard of the indie brand FedoraHarp Lacquer? If not, you may want to check them out because there are some great shades!
FedoraHarp Lacquer was started in 2014 after the owner (who also plays a harp) couldn’t find what she was looking for in nail polishes. She noticed everyone comes out with Christmas collections, but there are rarely Jewish holiday polishes. She started the brand in an effort to address that, as well as name polishes after other interests of hers like Futurama and some of the ladies of Marvel Comics. Her polishes are 5-free, cruelty-free, and hand mixed.
Wanda Maximoff is a bright holographic red. This has a very smooth and even formula, and covers with two coats. The holo shimmer is quite strong.
Melinda May is a deep holographic teal. Wow this shade is incredible and nearly opaque in just one coat, but I used two. It’s super creamy, smooth and has very strong holo shimmer.
Daisy “Tremors” Johnson is a green to purple multichrome shimmer with white flakie glitter. It’s on the sheer side, so you could use it to layer, but it also builds up to be opaque in three thin coats.
The green/purple/blue multichrome effect is rather strong in person! It reminds me a lot of MAC Sinful Serpent.
Plum Tuckered is a warm purple with flake glitter and shimmer. I don’t often see warm purple shades I like that much, but this one is really pretty because of all the shimmer. This was two coats.
Natasha Romanoff is a black jelly with small red glitter and triangle-shaped red glitter. You can use it either over a black polish or it builds up to be opaque in three thin coats. The triangular glitter is a little harder to get out of the bottle and onto the nail, so make sure you roll it around before using it, to mix it up well.
I am really impressed with these! Not only is the formula really quite good with them, they don’t disappoint in terms of the holographic/multichrome/flake glitter aspect that they promise. Most were just two coats and they apply beautifully. My personal favorites here are Melinda May, Plum Tuckered and Daisy “Tremors” Johnson.
You can find FedoraHarp Lacquer here and they retail from $4.50-$10.00 depending on bottle size.
