Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
Contrary Polish Spring It On for Spring 2016 is a gorgeous new collection featuring five new creme shades, a holographic topper and a bonus shade. More on how to get that bonus shade below.
Usually Contrary Polish does jellies, so this is a nice and unexpected collection for me. I do love a beautiful creme and these are really gorgeous. They all have a greyed out, dusty quality to them, which makes them different from your usual spring pastel cremes. More unique! Nearly every one of them covered perfectly in just two coats.
Breeze is a muted, greyed out periwinkle creme. This was two coats.
Sprout is a muted mint green. This was two coats.
Shower is a greyish aqua blue. This was two coats.
Bloom is a muted lilac. This was two coats.
Fresh is a muted lavender. This was two coats.
Cloud (bonus shade) is a muted white jelly. This was three thin coats but slightly streaky, so I should have used a ridge-filling base coat.
Dewy is a scattered holographic topper with rosy pink shimmer. This is one coat of Dewy.
I’m really excited about these shades, specifically because of the greyed-out thing they have going for them. They are my kind of colors and at just two coats each, I am really impressed with the formula as well. It’s really hard for me to pick faves here because I am loving them all but I think Sprout, Breeze and Fresh are my favorites.
Cloud is the bonus shade I mentioned above, and you can get that one if you order the whole set of colors, which is $54.00 for full-size bottles or $27.00 for mini bottles.
Are you feeling these muted shades as much as I am?
