Brand spankin’ new and just in time for spring (well spring will be here soon enough anyway!) is the Make Up For Ever Artist Palette, Vol 3 Spring Flowers.
This limited edition palette contains nine new shades all inspired by the colors of spring flowers. There are plenty of bold shades here, but also some that are more understated. One of them (shade I-804) was created to be worn as a cheek shade as well. Their shadows include a gel-powder formula which is super smooth and incredibly pigmented. They almost feel like wet creams, they are so soft and amazing.
As usual the palette has a really nice, compact design with a pretty pattern on the front and a large mirror inside. It also comes with a leaflet which shows you how to get three looks using the shadows in a top to bottom row: Emerald Blossom, Nude Blossom and Orchid Blossom.
ME-230 is a deep peacock blue.
I-544 is a taupe/pink.
ME-930 is a dark purple.
D-236 is a bright metallic lagoon blue.
I-804 is a golden pink (can also be used for cheeks).
I-918 is a light lavender.
S-404 is a pale yellow.
ME-512 is a metallic pale gold.
I-528 is a pale pearly white.
Wow! I can definitely say this is a pretty incredible palette! First of all I am really loving that the shades are super pigmented and so soft and easy-to-blend. I also love the color choices. There are many bright spring shades, but none of them are unwearable like some spring shades can be. Nothing pastel or chalky or just plain weird here. There are lighter shades for more day-time looks, and lots of deeper shades for a smokier look. I also love that I-804 really could be used on the cheeks and it would make a great blush color.
What do you think about this palette, is it a hit or a miss for you?
