Happy Monday, hope you had a great weekend!
The essie Spring 2016 Collection features six new shades that are inspired by the hot and sunny colors of Palm Beach, Florida.
All six colors here have a creme finish and most covered very nicely in two coats.

High Class Affair
High Class Affair is a light blush pink. I did need three coats with this one because it was a little uneven.

Lounge Lover
Lounge Lover is a bright coral pink. Very appropriate spring shade and it definitely reminds me of Florida! This was two coats.

Shade On
Shade On is a bright, slightly muted purple. This was two coats.

Poolside Service
Poolside Service is a medium, dusty teal-ish blue. Kind of an unusual spring shade, but I really like it. This was two coats.

Sunshine State of Mind
Sunshine State of Mind of a bright orange. I used two coats here but you can see it’s slightly uneven, so maybe three coats or a ridge-filling base coat would help.

Off Tropic
Off Tropic is a dark “grove” green. Now THIS is a very unusual shade for spring and it’s my favorite one here. It’s very pigmented and dark, but you can tell it’s a lush green not black or blue.
A few of these shades such as Lounge Lover, Sunshine State of Mind and Shade On aren’t all that unique, but they are pretty. I think the two most interesting and unique ones are Poolside Service and Off Tropic.
You can find this collection now in stores and on the essie site and they are around $8.50 each.
Is there anything in this collection you must add to your collection?

The colors are gorgeous.. But I don’t get a spring feel from them at all. Perhaps it’s like spring in the rain forest.
I feel like Essie does a good job of putting together beautiful color schemes for spring and summer, not necessarily stand-out colors. If that makes sense. All of the colors in this collection are beautiful, but they don’t stand out individually to me. They look best when grouped with the entire collection
Shade On is calling my name. I can never have enough purple and I love that shade.
I like the pale peach and the bright orange but I don’t like having to use three coats. I still might get them though.
Off Tropic is lovely. totally reminds me of those palm tree prints you see on wallpaper or upholstery.
Very pretty shades. Do you think “Off Tropic” might be a dupe for Essie “Going Incognito”?
I don’t think I own Going Incognito so I can’t really comment on that, sorry!
Hi Becky,
Just having a quick scan and I think Off Tropic is slightly darker than Going Incognito.
i’m not usually a fan of green polish on myself , but i’m LOVING “off tropic” !
love how dark & rich it is .

I’ve actually been looking for a lipstick in Off Tropic’s shade. I love the color, might get it for my nails as well!
Bite beauty amuse bouche in kale!
I’ve never actually been to Palm Beach, but these colors definitely fit the image I have in my mind. Maybe they are bit retro, but I like this collection!
