defy & INSPIRE Nail Lacquer by Target is new as of January, and I have some info and swatches of a few shades I picked out for you.
This brand new, exclusive Target line features 38 shades in various finishes as well as a base coat and top coat. They claim that this has a formula that delivers a no chip mani/pedi without the use of UV lights, and it’s easily removable with regular polish remover. It’s 5-free meaning no DBP, Toluene, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin or Camphor, and it’s made in the USA.
I actually had a hard time deciding which colors to choose because I wanted at least 15-20 of them! I have been so drawn to blues lately though, and these were the ones that grabbed me instantly. I really like the bottle shape, it’s unique and sturdy. I also really like the brush style because it’s not too thin or too wide, and it has a nice rounded edge, which always helps me get a better looking manicure. I didn’t get the base and top coat so I cannot really comment on just how long these last with all that.
Paradise Island is a pale aqua blue creme. This shade borders on almost being a mint green, but not quite. This was two coats.
You’re Going To Vegas! is a bright sky blue creme. So pretty and vivid! This has a really nice coverage, I could almost do just one coat, but I did two.
Bachelor is a muted periwinkle creme. I really like this shade because it’s purple and grey and blue all combined into a lovely dusty color. This was two coats.
Make It Work is a medium teal creme. In person this is actually brighter and crisper looking than my camera showed. It’s a bright green-toned teal, but not neon. This was two coats.
Overall I am pretty impressed with these. They have a good range of colors, nice bottles and brushes and a really good creamy formula. I will definitely be picking up more of these!
These are available at Target and they are $7.49 for 0.5 oz.
Have you tried this line yet? Any shade recommendations?
