Hello and a happy Wednesday to you!
Today I’ve got some new items from the Milani Fall 2015 collection. The new items include three new limited edition Rose Powder Blushes (American Beauty Rose, Awakening Rose and Blossomtime Rose), five Stay Put Brow Colors, eight new shades of the Color Statement Lipsticks and Color Statement Moisture Matte Lipsticks.
Color Statement Lipsticks have been around for awhile and they are fabulous. The eight new shades are Bahama Beige, Power Pink, Empress, Blushing Beauty, Rebel Rouge, Catwalk Pink, Coral Addict and Velvet Merlot.
Color Statement Moisture Matte Lipsticks come in sixteen total shades now. They contain vitamins A & C to help with moisture and they have a creamy yet matte finish.
Stay Put Brow Color comes in five shades and has a creamy, super long-lasting, waterproof formula. Each one comes with a dual-ended brush – one side is angled for application and the other has a spoolie to blend and groom brows.
The highly collectible, limited edition Rose Powder Blushes come in three new shades and these are both pretty to look at and wear.
Blossomtime Rose is a medium peachy/pink matte. It looks a little powdery in this photo, which it is because it’s very soft, but it workes really nicely and doesn’t look too powdery or chalky on the skin. Gorgeous shade!
Rebel Rouge is a bright pinkish/red.
Power Pink is a bright fuchsia.
Matte Kiss is a matte pinkish/red.
Matte Flirty is a matte berry.
Loving all of these colors but especially the first three. The mattes don’t feel overly drying at all and they aren’t a SUPER dead flat matte, they do have a slight sheen to them.
Soft Brown is a light, warm-toned brown.
Natural Taupe is a light, cool-toned taupe.
Medium Brown is a medium, cool-toned brown.
Brunette is a medium, neutral-toned brown.
Dark Brown is a deep, cool-toned brown.
My first impression of these wasn’t great. I opened Soft Brown first and it was already dried out and barely swatch-able. Same with Dark Brown. None of the others were dried out, luckily! I am glad that most of these are cooler-toned because I think most people prefer that. Neutral Taupe is a pretty good shade for me, cool enough and dark enough. It lasted the entire day with no fading or feathering. It stays put if you have a light itch in your brow that you need to attend to also (which happens to me like, daily!) 🙂 I do wonder how long they will last without drying out though.
I actually used the brush that comes with it and it did a nice job, which surprised me because normally these brushes go in the garbage. I still prefer my Benefit or Anastasia brushes though because they are softer/less rigid and this has a cheap, plastic feel to it.
You can find all this now at CVS stores.
