Today I have a couple shades from the JINsoon Operetta Collection for Fall 2015.
The collection is inspired by colors and textures from opera costumes designed by Erté—known for the gloriously extravagant outfits he designed for Don Giovanni, Manon, Rigoletto, La Traviata, and Madame Butterfly. The flowing lavishness of his costumes was augmented by the colors he used to convey various moods: deep, lustrous purples for dynamic, vibrant figures.
The whole 5-piece collection looks pretty darn amazing, but sadly they only sent me a couple shades. I had been toying with the idea of getting the other ones for this post but Christmas is coming, so I gotta keep my mind (and wallet) focused on that, haha!
The shades as seen above are Soubrette (purple shimmer), Aria (iridescent fuchsia), Verismo (copper gold in black), Oratorio (shimmery beige nude) and Cantata (grey with purple shimmer).
Oratorio is a light beige/nude shade with golden shimmer. This is most definitely a very unique and slightly unusual shade and I really love it. It reminds me of a color that Illamasqua would come out with. This was two coats and a perfect formula.
Soubrette is an intense purple with fuchsia shimmer. This reminds me of a velvet tapestry. It’s very “fall” appropriate and has a wonderful jewel-like glow to it. Another really great formula and it covered in two coats.
You can find these at Sephora and they are $18.00 each.
