The Buxom Customizable Eyeshadow Bar Palette is new for fall 2015 and part of their new Eyeshadow Bar.
The Eyeshadow Bar features 40 primer-infused ultra-luxe eyeshadows that you can put into this palette. The finishes run from mattes, to metallics to duochromes to shimmers. You can buy them individually for $12.00 each, get an individual eyeshadow in it’s own compact for $14.00 or get 6 eyeshadows and put them into a palette for $40.00. You can also buy a pre-filled palette in Pastel Persuasion (cool-toned pastel shades), Dolly’s Wild Side (shades inspired by the bestselling Lip Polish shades) or May Contain Nudity (which features nude-toned colors in various finishes).
The palette that was sent to me was already pre-filled with shades they chose for me, but I think they did a great job! Also included inside the snakeskin textured black palette is a large mirror and a double-ended mini-brush.
All you do to change out the shadows is slide out a little plastic tray on the side that they sit in and pop them out. Super easy!
Diamond Darling is a white shimmer with a frosty finish.
Designer Or Die is a light beige matte.
Star Treatment is a medium brown matte.
Bold Bling is a metallic rose gold.
Invite Only is a light terracotta matte,
Glitz Factor is a metallic copper/pink duochrome.
These shadows are infused with a primer but I swatched them over my standard primer anyway. They feel nicely soft and blend-able and have really nice pigmentation. All these shades mix together really well and I especially love the metallic shades – Bold Bling and Glitz Factor. I definitely like the idea of being able to pick my own 6 shades to fill a palette with because it’s almost always the case that there are at least 1 or 2 shades in a normal palette I would never use. This is a good way to maximize your dollars on things you actually love.
You can find this at Sephora for $40.00 (an $85 value) now.
Is this something that interests you? Do you often find a few shades in regular palettes that you won’t use?
