Pixi H20 Skintint isn’t a new item but it works really well with their brand new Full Cover Foundation Brush and Undercover Crayon for spring!
H20 Skintint ($24.00) is a water-based tinted face gel which comes in three shades (Cream, Nude and Warm.) It has this great cooling feeling when you apply it and it feels very nicely hydrating. It has a fairly sheer formula but it definitely helps hide pores and small flaws and makes the skin look more even.
The new Full Cover Foundation Brush ($15.00) has densely packed super soft bristles which helps create a natural looking finish and doesn’t waste product. It works with foundation, concealer and powder-based makeup. It worked really well for me with the H20 Skintint and left no streaks on my face. It blended the product in really well without soaking all of it up.
Undercover Crayon ($14.00) is also new and it’s a brightening and concealing pencil that includes peptides to plump lines, wild rose to nourish and licorice root to help fade dark areas. It comes in Perk-Up Peach, which cancels out darkness and in three other shades (Cream, Nude and Warm) to perfect your complexion.
Nude is the second shade in the H20 Skintint line and it’s just a wee bit too dark for me. I do love the texture and finish though, and when it goes on it feels so cooling and nice.
Perk-Up Peach is a creamy bright pink/peach. I have been using this to help cover dark areas under my eyes for a few days now and so far so good! It doesn’t settle into fine my lines and it definitely helps brighten up the area.
As you can see the difference between my face and neck is a little off. I think the lightest shade Cream would work for me better, though it could be too light.
So even though the Skintint wasn’t the right shade, I really liked the feel of it and it made my skin look much more even. The foundation brush is really great! I often find that these types of brushes leaves streaks all over my face and I have to work twice as hard to blend it in, but this one didn’t do that at all. I really like the Undercover Crayon as well. I tend to use peaches and pinks on my under-eye area rather than concealer because I really need the brightening effect. This one works and isn’t too think or too thick feeling.
These are available now on the Pixi site and at Target.
