The brand new Urban Decay Sheer Revolution Lipstick for Spring 2015 line has arrived at VVHQ and I am super excited to share them with you!
We already know that the Urban Decay Revolution Lipsticks are pigmented and amazing, and the Naked Lipglosses are nice and light – so what happened when Wende Zomnir decided to mix them together? She realized that there needed to be a combination of the two formulas, so Sheer Revolution was born.
These ten new lipsticks are creamy, sheer and shiny. They are infused with “Maxi-Lip” (which defines and hydrates lips while also making them look plumper and fuller – with no tingle), Shea butter, jojoba oil, olive oil, babassu oil and vitamins C and E. They come in the same style tube as Revolution Lipsticks, but this time they are a light purple so you can tell what’s what. I like that.
Walk Of Shame is a pale nude/pink.
Liar is a pinky/brown.
Rapture is a dusty rose/pink.
Obsessed is a baby pink.
Streak is a coral/pink.
Walk Of Shame is definitely the most sheer of all ten shades, it’s barely a color on me. The other four shades here are sheer, but they do show up on my lips. Walk Of Shame and Obsessed settle into lip lines a bit though. I like Liar and Streak on me the best.
Anarchy is a fuchsia.
Slowburn is an orange/red.
Ladyflower is a rose/pink.
F-Bomb is a red.
Shame is a berry.
Now these ones are a lot brighter and much more obvious on the lips than the previous five. Anarchy and Slowburn are my personal favorites, but all of these are very pretty colors.
I have to say I am really in love with the formula of these. They are super comfy and easy to wear. They are very hydrating, light-weight, shiny and flattering. They last on me a couple hours before I need to touch-up, which is the usual for me. I also love the light purple packaging, making them really stand out amongst my other lip shades. These have no taste or scent to them either.
Will you being trying out the Sheer Revolution Lipsticks? Which shades are your favorites?
