Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow for Spring 2015 features four brand new shades of the sparkly eyeshadow which we first saw back in April of 2013.
These have a great formula that feels like a cream but goes on more powdery. They are infused with microfine sparkle and 3-D pearls that leave a very sparkly, iridescent effect. They aren’t so sparkly that you wind up with it all over your face, however, they definitely can have some fall-out. You can use them dry (my swatches are dry) or add water for more intensity.
Cosmic is a metallic white with iridescent sparkle.
Ether is a light purple with pink/blue sparkle and color shift.
Solstice is a metallic pink/red with green sparkle and color shift.
Scorpio is a matte black with gold sparkle.
Wow! Even dry these have incredible pigmentation and depth. Well ok, Cosmic isn’t super pigmented but the other three certainly are. Ether is a really cool color it’s purple, pink and blue all at once. Solstice has a very strong color shift, it changes constantly. And my personal favorite, Scorpio is so intense and beautiful!
When using these kinds of sparkly shadows I tend to do my eyes first and use my finger to pat them on rather than using a brush, which can create more fall-out. Using them wet will also help negate the fall-out issue.
How are you feeling about these four new shades?
