The Morgan Taylor Cinderella 2015 collection is a collaboration with Gelish and in conjunction with Disney’s live-action Cinderella film, which comes out March 13th.
There are six new shades from Morgan Taylor for the collection and nine from Gelish. I decided to focus only on the Morgan Taylor ones because I never wear gel polish plus I think most people are interested in these ones.
Usually for me Morgan Taylor lacquers are incredibly perfect in the formula department. A few of these didn’t live up to my high expectations, but there wasn’t a dud or a bad one in the bunch. Most just required three coats rather than the typical two.
Party at the Palace is a light green with gold and light green shimmer. This is a serious stunner and my favorite one in the collection. It’s pretty unique and totally screams Cinderella to me. That green with that golden shimmer is perfection. The formula was a little thick and I did need three thin coats to get it completely even.
Best Ball Gown Ever is a light blueish/lavender with a golden duochrome and shimmer. Another stunning and unique shade. It’s so delicate and princess-like, it’s perfect! The formula was a little on the thinner side, and I preferred it with three thin coats rather than two.
My Carriage Awaits is a bright peachy pink with subtle pink shimmer. This is another one of my top picks and a rather unique shade. I am completely in love with the cantaloupe-like base shade but the shimmer makes it even better. This was three thin coats.
If the Slipper Fits has a pale blue base and silver shimmer as well as holographic glitter. I wasn’t sure this one would cover my nail that well but it turns out all I needed was two coats. It does look a little on the chunky side because of the holo glitter.
Ella of a Girl is a light pink creme. Nothing unique here of course but it fits very well with the collection. This was a little uneven on me so I used three coats.
Watch Your Step, Sister! is a bright punch pink creme. This is another one that isn’t really a unique shade, but it works with the others nicely. This was three thin coats and a wee bit uneven on me.
I think the fan favorites are going to be Party at the Palace and Best Ball Gown Ever, but My Carriage Awaits is also a really great shade.
This collection is limited edition and comes out in February at select salons and Morgan Taylor’s website. They are $8.50 each.
Which are your favorite shades here? Are you going to see the movie? I know I want to!
