Quick site update: Things seem to be back to normal with the site now except I am still missing basically all comments since 2009. They are still working on this issue, so I will continue posting meanwhile. Fingers crossed nothing else bad happens!
Ok so technically it’s still fall until December 21st, so the Misa Warm Days Will Never Cease for fall 2014 collection is still appropriate! 😉
This collection features six new shades, all fairly subtle and not typically what you think of for a fall collection. There are no super dark shades here, nothing vampy or dark. It’s all light, airy and somewhat spring-like in my eyes. No problemo, I wear what I like when I like, doesn’t depend on what season it is.
Sunrise Dew is a very pale lilac. I *think* this is meant to be a satin/matte since it dries that way, and I actually think it looks really nice without a top coat. Two coats is all I needed. Very different for fall and I really like it.
Peaches and Cream is a pale peachy/pink shimmer. Sorry for the blurry photo, none of them came out decent! This one is the most sheer of them all so I used three coats. It also dries to a sort of satin/matte finish but not as much as Sunrise Dew does.
Dawn Chorus is a light pink shimmer. Very sparkly and feminine looking. Delicate. This was two coats and on the satin/matte side as well.
Glistering Tree Top is a pale metallic champagne/silver. Great metallic, super even and streak-free. It covered in two coats.
Sparkling Apple Cider is an intense copper shimmer. This perhaps is the most autumnal shade here, and it’s also fairly unique. I don’t really see that many copper shades. It was just a teeny bit on the brush-stroke-y side, but not bad. This was two coats.
Silver Skyline is a medium silvery purple metallic. Despite the name, it definitely leans more towards purple than silver. No complaints whatsoever with the formula, it was really good and only took two coats to cover.
For me the most interesting shades here are Sunrise Dew and Sparkling Apple Cider. Something about Sunrise Dew and that satin finish really pulls me in. The other shades while nice, aren’t all that unique in my eyes.
You can find this collection now on the Misa site and elsewhere that sells Misa and they retail for $7.50 each.
