The Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette for Spring 2015 landed at VVHQ the other day and today I’ve got all the details and swatches for ya.
As you probably know, they already released a similar palette last spring called the Chocolate Bar Eye Shadow palette. Well this time around we have one with all different shades for those who love semi-sweet chocolate, and warmer-toned shades. And of course, this one also has that wonderful chocolate scent in it because of the infused cocoa powder.
There is a nice mix of both matte and shimmery shades (16 in all), a nice sized mirror and a How-to Glamour Guide.
Licorice is a black satin/matte.
Coconut Creme is a very pale vanilla matte.
Nougat is a light fleshy/pink matte.
Truffled is a deep brown matte.
Hot Fudge is a shimmery deep brown.
Cocoa Chili is a deep brown with gold sparkles.
Pink Sugar is a very light pink glitter.
Puddin’ is a medium brown matte.
Blueberry Swirl is a medium blue shimmer.
Peanut Butter is a medium toffee brown matte.
Frosting is a medium metallic bronze.
Rum Raisin is a medium metallic brown.
Mousse is a medium matte milk chocolate brown.
Caramel is a metallic gold.
Bon Bon is a light metallic peach/gold.
Butter Pecan is a pale shimmery champagne.
Most of these shades swatched pretty nicely over a primer. There were a couple though that I had to go over a few times to get them to show up, or be less patchy, and they were Licorice, Coconut Creme and Pink Sugar. I love that the shades are mostly warm-toned because that does make it different from the other chocolate bar palette. I think I like the other one just slightly better for my skin tone, but this is still a great one!
