The bareMinerals Holiday 2014 collection features a bunch of beauty sets you could get for friends (or keep for yourself).
Today I have four of the holiday sets for you which include Kissing Booth (6-piece Marvelous Moxie Lipgloss Collection), Afternoon Delights (5 Lasting Line Long-Wearing Eyeliners), I Love The Nightlife (5 Lasting Line Long-Wearing Eyeliners) and Give It a Twirl (Color-Spun Marvelous Moxie Lipgloss Duo).
Big Tease is a peachy pink cream.
Lucky Lady is a warm pink/brown with pink shimmer.
Sweet Kisser is a fuchsia cream.
Major Flirt is a shimmery pale pink.
Thrill Seeker is a purple cream.
Jezebel is a purple with blue shimmer.
These all have a doe-foot applicator and they’re nice and glossy. These do have that slight peppermint tingle and taste to them, but it’s fairly mild for me. They aren’t super saturated or anything, but they definitely show up on the lips. I personally like the shimmery ones the most here.
Immortal Emerald is a green shimmer.
Perpetual Plum is a medium plum shimmer.
Timeless Taupe is a light shimmery taupe.
Eternal Bronze is a deep bronze shimmer.
Stay Golden is a light shimmery gold.
These liners are a twist-up pencil which also has a built-in sharpener and smudge-foam thingie on the other end. They are supposed to be intense and long-wearing. I found these to be uneven and not very pigmented at all. Some of the tips broke off when I pressed a little too hard trying to get more pigmentation out of them. They are just not up to what I want in a liner in terms of payoff.
Constant Copper is a copper shimmer.
True Blue is a medium blue shimmer.
Absolute Black is a black cream.
Steadfast Slate is a smoky grey shimmer.
Certainly Sterling is a silver metallic.
These were the same as the Afternoon Delights set in terms of patchiness and payoff. Not great, not great.
Creamsicle (which is a mix of Trailblazer and Hot Shot) is a light peachy pink with gold shimmer.
Fuchsia Fizz (which is a mix of Stunner and Rebel) is a medium fuchsia pink.
These also have a nice doe-foot applicator, like the other set does. Both are very shiny and had a really nice texture and pigmentation. I like Creamsicle the most because of the pretty shimmer.
So for me there were some good and bad things here. The lip items were all nice and I love the colors and texture of everything. The eyeliners though…not so much. They are just way too patchy and not very pigmented.
You can find these at Sephora now.
