bareMinerals Buffing Beauties and Main Attraction for Holiday 2014 have arrived and I’ve got all the details for ya this afternoon.
Buffing Beauties is a 5-Piece Luxurious Brush Collection featuring brushes perfect for face and eyes. Main Attraction is a 7-Piece Full-Face Collection. I really like that these have a red lacquered outside and then a black and white pattern on the inside. Very cute!
Inside Main Attraction, which has a black and white harlequin pattern, you will find a mirror, a “Get The Look” instructional, The Curtain Call READY Eyeshadow 2.0m Lasting Line Long-Wearing Eyeliner, Lash Domination 10-in-1 Volumizing Mascara, Mini Marvelous Moxie Lipstick, Marvelous Moxie Lipgloss, a Blush and a Tapered Blush Brush.
Fair is a medium rose pink blush with slight sheen. Pretty shade and nice pigmentation.
Matinee is a light metallic rose pink. Love this color it’s almost a rose gold and it goes really well with Opening Night.
Opening Night is a deep chocolate brown with silvery sparkles. Pigmented and pretty!
Leading Lady is a light pink shimmer. This is a rather sheer gloss, but the sparkles do show up on me and it’s quite glossy.
Make Your Move is a medium brown/pink. It’s a nice shade, decently pigmented.
Absolute Black is a nice dark black matte. Pigmented, soft and very black. It also has a smudger on one side and a built-in sharpener. Somehow this one was much better than the one in the set I recently reviewed.
Intense Black is a deep black. I love the twisted brush and it gives me really nice length and pretty good volume.
Blushing Beauties has a patent-leather-like red outside and black and white stripes inside. There is also a small zipper area. The brushes include the Heavenly Face Brush, Heavenly Blush Brush, Full Tapered Shadow Brush, Heavenly Eyeshadow Buffing Brush and Heavenly Liner Blending Brush,.
These feel fairly soft, but not the softest I’ve ever used. I do really love the size and shape of the Full Tapered Shadow Brush and the Heavenly Liner Blending Brush. I rarely use a blunt brush, I prefer rounded edges, so the face, blush and buffing brushes aren’t my “usual” picks for the jobs they do. I do find the buffing brush pretty soft though and it’s a good size for really getting into smaller areas and blending them out.
And of course they all fit nice and neat into the case, which is great for traveling with.
