The MAC Brooke Shields collection is now available through October 30th!
This limited edition collection features shades Brooke Shields chose for both day and nighttime looks. The packaging is a light grey shade with the MAC logo and Brooke’s signature embossed in orange. It’s quite a pretty collection to look at from a packaging perspective, I tell ya. I love how the lipsticks are in a square tube. And the nail shades are in thick ice cube-like bottles (the same as the Estee Lauder bottles).
The collection features a range of colors for face, nails and lips and does have a slightly higher price tag than normal.

Veluxe Pearlfusion Shadow in Mortal ($44)

Lipstick in Excite ($22)

Nail Lacquer in Dignity ($17)

Cream Colour Base Duo in Cherished ($31)

Bronzing Powder in Scone ($27.50)

Mortal (over primer)
The first shade is a pale shimmery pink.
The second shade is a light champagne/peach shimmer.
The third shade is a light peachy/pink shimmer.
The fourth is a metallic copper.
The fifth is a light mauve shimmer.
Ok first off I love these shades, they are so feminine, soft and pretty. They go together beautifully and I keep staring at them. The first two shades were incredibly light, so you don’t get a ton of payoff from them. The one thing I strongly dislike about this style palette is that he first and last shades are in this super thin strip, so it’s really hard to get the color out.

Cherished, Knockout, Excite
Cherished features a bright coral pink and a burgundy rose.
Knockout is a bright orange-red.
Excite is a bright orange-red (cremesheen).
The shades in Cherished were nicely pigmented and creamy. Knockout is a really pretty, gloss but just a little uneven on the lips. Excite is an excellent bright orange-red shade. It’s vivid, pigmented and really pretty.

Excite

Scone, Brunette
Scone is neutral tan matte.
Brunette is a medium cool toned taupe.
First off, sorry for the horrible photo, all of my swatches of these came out a bit blurry for some reason. The thing I thought that was weird with the Bronzing Powder in Scone was the compact doesn’t have a mirror inside! I feel like it should have one. Aside from that, it’s a good light/medium bronzer. The Brunette Veluxe Brow Liner gave me some serious grief. My pencil was super hard and scratchy. Even when I tried warming it up between my hands it was patchy and uneven on my skin. No bueno.

Dignity
Dignity is a light coral creme. This applied a little unevenly but by the third thin coat it was covered nicely. It’s a pretty, feminine shade.
My favorites from the collection were the Mortal palette and Excite Lipstick. I do love the packaging but not the extra cost. The Gravitas palette, which has 15 shades is $85, ouch!
You can find this on the MAC site now and in stores as well.
Anything you want from this collection?
