The Lise Watier Aurora Winter 2014 Collection was inspired by the aurora borealis, which is the natural phenomenon that casts a glow in the sky in many gorgeous colors. These northern lights can seem iridescent and luminous, which is exactly what you will find in the packaging here.
Most of this collection is limited edition and it includes an eyeshadow palette, two iridescent eyeshadows, an iridescent liquid eyeliner, a shimmery powder, a shiny lip gloss, a lipstick, an eye shine and a kohl eyeliner. There is also a fan brush that was sent to me that has the same beautiful duochrome sparkly handle that the other packaging has, but I can’t seem to find any information about it in the press release or online.
As you can see, the packaging is so pretty! It’s a blue/purple duochrome and the palette/powder/eyeshadows have this iridescent glitter pattern on them as well (which does not shed). Love this!
Smokey Kohl Velours is a creamy, matte deep teal shade.
Aurora Iridescent Eyeliner is a purple/copper shade with glitter. Very sparkly and it has a really nice, thin brush.
Aurora Teal Iridescent Eyeshadow is a sparkly, blue/green/purple duochrome. It contains micro-glitter but you don’t really see it – there is no fall-out. It is really soft and has nice pigmentation. It’s so soft in fact that mine was broken when I received it. 🙁
Celestial Light Powder blends iridescent pink, brown and gold together to create a gorgeous, shimmery shade. It’s super soft, very pigmented and beautiful.
The first shade is a pale pink shimmer.
The second shade is a pigmented warm shimmery pink.
The third shade is a pigmented warm purple.
The fourth shade is a pigmented taupe/brown.
The fifth shade is a light gold shimmer.
The sixth shade is a deep blue shimmer.
These shadows have a cream/powder texture which is incredible. They are so freaking pigmented! They have a semi-matte to iridescent finish depending on the shade. I am really in love with the texture and payoff of these.
I’m pretty much enamored with everything in this collection that I saw. The eyeshadow palette is not just beautiful on the outside, but the shadows have a really amazing formula and are so pretty. I also love the Celestial Light Powder because it’s such a perfect highlight shade and so soft. The Teal eyeshadow was also really pretty and I am very curious about the other one, which is a violet/copper duochrome. The Iridescent Eyeliner is a great shade for fall, very sparkly. And last but not least the Smokey Kohl Velour liner is really pigmented and a great teal matte.
