Wet n Wild LA Street Wear Mega Last Matte Lip Color features four limited edition lip shades, and has already hit counters state-wide.
Mega Last Matte Lip Color is similar to the other Mega Last Lip Colors I’ve reviewed in the past. The tube has a matte, black outside though, which is appropriate for the finish of the lipstick. As I tend to do with these lipsticks, I managed to make a mess out of the lid area while taking it off and putting it back on. But no worries, no lipsticks were too harmed in the making of this post!
Sweet Cream is a light pink/nude shade. It’s actually much nicer on this lips than I thought it would be and I really like it.
Sunset Siren is a bright tomato red. Gorgeous, pigmented and vivid.
Urban Night is a deep, rich red. Another great shade if you like a darker red lip.
Bordeaux Boulevard is a deep purple/mauve which wound up applying a bit unevenly on me.
The texture of these at first seems kind of dry and not creamy at all, but once you get going swiping it on your lips, it starts kind of warming up and gliding on more smoothly. They are matte but not totally flat or dry looking. They have a very slight sheen to them still. They were all pretty pigmented and I didn’t have to apply a ton to get good payoff. For some reason Bordeaux Boulevard gave me grief though. It was rather patchy and I had to go over certain areas a few times to get it even looking.
I prefer to wear these with a light lip balm underneath because my lips do get dry with them, as they tend to with most matte lip colors. I think the stand-out shades are Sweet Cream, because it’s very wearable, and Sunset Siren, because it’s a gorgeous bright red with a perfect finish.
These did hit stores on September 1st, so hopefully you will be seeing them in a drugstore near you soon!
Anything here you shall be hunting down?
