I’m so excited, and I just can’t hide it! Ok no more Pointer Sisters, just Urban Decay Naked2 Basics.
Yes folks you have heard correctly, there is a new Naked Basics palette in town and she is even better than the first (if you ask me). Like the first one, this features six gorgeous matte neutral eyeshadow shades, but this time, everything is cool-toned. yay! Yep they cooled everything down with cool taupe shades, which I am allll about.
The palette itself looks very much like the first one but it’s a slightly lighter shade and the writing is gunmetal, rather than brown like the first one. It’s the same size and has the same large mirror.

Naked2 Basics ($29)

Skimp, Stark, Frisk, Cover, Primal, Undone (over primer)
Skimp is a pale nude satin.
Stark is a pink/nude matte.
Frisk is a light grey matte.
Cover is a brown/red matte.
Primal is a medium brown matte.
Undone is a deep smoky brown matte.
These all feel super soft and silky to the touch. I got good pigmentation with a couple swipes and they don’t feel chalky or look patchy at all. I am really loving the shades Frisk, Cover, Primal and Undone especially.

Naked Basics Double-Ended Brush ($20)
Alongside this new palette they have released a new Naked Basics Double-Ended Brush. This brush is full-sized and has a shadow blender on one side and a shadow smudger on the other.
It’s made with soft synthetic material derived from recycled PBT plastic bottles so it’s cruelty-free, vegan and eco-conscious!
You will be able to find these on the Urban Decay website starting on August 19th, and then they will be available at Sephora, Ulta, Macy’s, etc.
Now I want to know, are you excited to see a cooler-toned Naked Basics palette or do you prefer the original one more?
