Last week I had quite the task weighing upon my shoulders. I wasn’t sure I could manage it, it seemed so hard. What was the task? Tasting chocolate! Ok I lied, it wasn’t hard in any way, shape or form. 😉
But this wasn’t just any old chocolate, nay. This was tasting the new items from GODIVA for summer. This private event was held at Stonestown Galleria in San Francisco, where I actually had never been in all my days living in the Bay Area! This was so far out in San Francisco in fact, if you had just dropped me there I would have bet my life I was in Daly City or Colma. It’s actually just a couple blocks away from San Francisco State.
One of the new tasty goodies is called the Trufflelata. This is a chocolate drink made with any of six flavors of ground up truffles of your choice. You can choose from Chocolate Lava Cake, Salted Caramel, Strawberry Creme, Hazlenut Crunch, Milk Chocolate or OREO. My favorites were Chocolate Lava Cake (so rich with a hint of dark chocolate bits inside), Hazlenut Crunch (tastes a bit like Nutella), Salted Caramel (I love me some salt and sweets together) and the OREO one (which tastes exactly like a whipped uo OREO cookie and it has crunchy bits inside).
Next up on the tasting menu was their new soft serve, which comes in a Belgian waffle cone. You can have the rim of the cone dipped in milk or dark chocolate and pralines, if you want. The flavors of the soft serve are white chocolate with vanilla bean, dark chocolate or swirl, which has both.
The dark chocolate one is absolutely decadent! It’s tastes like the smoothest, creamiest dark chocolate concoction ever. The white chocolate with vanilla bean is UBER vanilla-esque. It’s super, duper sweet and vanilla-y.
You can find these at participating GODIVA boutiques and check out more information on their website as well.
