I think you might know by now that I am unable to resist buying anything with a sweet almond oil scent. So that means that awhile ago I could not pass up the Burt’s Bees Honey & Shea Body Butter and Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Creme.
When I was checking out the Burt’s Bees website I saw that this Body Butter had recently been reformulated and it has a really low star rating (only 1.5 out of 5) with over 110 reviews. This kind of shocked me because I am completely in love with this stuff! But maybe I got the old formula somehow? I’m not sure but I don’t see any of the negatives that people are talking about with the one I bought.
Honey & Shea Body Butter softens skin with a blend of honey and antioxidant-rich sweet almond oil and shea butter. I mean is there a more perfect blend of scents? Nay.
But aside from the scent this stuff is really great. It’s very creamy and rubs into my skin rather quickly. It does take a little longer to completely dry than some other body butters but not a crazy amount of time or anything. I have been using it on my calves a lot lately and it’s made them much less itchy and dry. I always rub the leftovers into my hands afterwards and they don’t feel greasy at all.
Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Creme is a great, deeply hydrating creme that comes in a cute little glass jar. This isn’t a lotion, it’s more of a balm/creme hybrid. It’s thick and just a little bit goes a long ways. It’s got sweet almond oil, vitamin E and beeswax for conditioning skin. The smell is a fabulous nutty sweet almond scent that I cannot get enough of!
This is the kind of thing you want to apply to your hands at the end of the day because it’s on the heavier, greasier side and takes awhile to fully get into the skin and dry. I’ve been using this every night and my hands definitely have been feeling less dry lately.
You can find these wherever Burt’s Bees is sold.
Have you tried either of these items? Do you love a shea/sweet almond oil scent as much as me?
