The Anastasia Maya Mia Palette is launching today and it’s a collaboration with makeup artist and YouTube vlogger Maya Janeska.
This palette contains ten shades that coordinate together to create various neutral and more bold looks. There are matte and shimmery shades which can be worn wet or dry. Inside the palette you will also find five ‘Get The Look” cards, a good-sized mirror and a dual-ended brush.
I’ll admit, I had no idea who this person was until I got the press release with her info on it. But she did create a nice palette and her ‘Get The Look’ cards with different looks you can create with this palette are gorgeous.
Nude is a pink/nude matte. This truly is nude for me because it’s almost completely invisible on my skin!
Deep Brown is a very dark brown with slight sheen.
Sienna is a medium orange/brown matte.
Warm Taupe is a light warm taupe brown matte.
Vanilla is a bright vanilla with slight sheen.
Aqua is a bright aqua blue shimmer.
Fresh Peach is a light peach shimmer.
Glisten is a metallic peachy/copper.
Caramel is a medium warm-toned brown matte.
Gold Bar is a light yellow/gold metallic.
I felt like the first row of colors didn’t swatch quite as nicely as the second row. They felt a little less even and pigmented, but not bad by any means. The only one I didn’t like was Nude because it was essentially completely invisible on me. The second row featured lighter shades and colors that appeal to me a bit more. They also seemed more pigmented, and applied more smoothly and evenly. In particular I really like Aqua, Glisten, Caramel and Gold Bar.
This palette will be available at Macy’s, Nordstrom and Dillard’s.
Is this a palette you might check out in person?
