The LORAC AfterGLO Eye Shadow Palette is an Ulta exclusive and I recently picked it up in a moment of weakness.
Awhile back I posted swatches of the new SummerGLO Palette, which I completely love. But then someone asked me how it compared to the AfterGLO Palette. My ears perked up like Parker’s do when I say “walk” and I was like “whaaaaaaaaattttttt”? You see, somehow this palette skipped my radar! Once I looked it up online, I knew I was a goner if I saw it in person. I MUST collect all the palettes. At least ones that are all like little collections (like the Kat Von D ones).
Anyway so yeah, I picked it up and have zero regrets. 🙂
The first shade is a vanilla white with sheen.
The second shade is a deep teal with slight sheen.
The third shade is a shimmery green/blue.
The fourth shade is a glittery light gold.
The fifth shade is a light shimmery copper.
The first shade is a light shimmery pink.
The second shade is a medium violet with slight sheen.
The third shade is a light milk chocolate matte.
The fourth shade is a vivid coral with slight sheen.
The fifth shade is a medium chocolate brown matte.
The first five shades in this palette are definitely my favorite ones because of the teal, gold and copper. They are all on the cooler-toned side also. The second five shades are decent but not really mind-blowing to me. They are the warmer-toned ones.
I like that there are a couple mattes in here and some light highlight shades. I didn’t feel as though the texture of these was quite as nice as the SummerGLO or GLOGetter palettes though. And the pigmentation on the last five shades wasn’t as deep as the other ones. Still it’s a really good palette, especially for the price, and the shades are all different from the other two palettes.
Have you picked any of these GLO palettes up yet?
